Can anyone tell me what the best Union would be to join or is there any point ? i in the job now over 6 months everyone is advising me to get it sorted.

I'm in the same boat but I'm here 4 1/2 years and not in a union :(

Not in one yet, In here 4 years 2 months!!! Realy should get it sorted!
While there is still a need for teachers, there will still be a need for us!

NIPSA here too.  As I've said before anybody NOT in a union is crazy.  I'm surprised that so many techies (the most intelligent people in the education system   :P ) can't be bothered to join a union.



Again as I've said before, without the unions we'd be on minimum wage, term time contracts.

I am one of the NIPSA union reps and would advise everyone to be part of a union - it acts as insurance for you if anthing goes wrong or if you have a problem that you cannot resolve internally.  NIPSA works hard for all its members and the contribution each month is small.  If i can help in anyway please feel free to contact me.

to be honest , if i had a problem that i couldnt resolve, i would leave, no job is worth hassle like that.
