I'm going to have about 20 legacy machines to give away shortly.

Spec: PII, 333 MHz, 160 Mb RAM, HD 1.99Gb

Are they of any use to anyone??? 8)

I could do with a monitor if you're getting rid of them too - our school is very strict on this - any old equipment is tagged and sent to the store to be picked up by the SELB, they got rid of 9 monitors here last year and I had to let them carry them off into the sunset :(

Our Legacy network here is more or less dead now that C2K has taken over - after me spending all of summer '05 upgrading it...

If your in the SELB contact Owen in the Clounagh Centre.  He will probably find a use for them.

Thanks folks.  SEELB here, will contact them.  Seems a waste just to dump them.  Will probably have some monitors left. If I can find somewhere to store a few they come in handy if any of the c2k ones go down and we have to wait for a techie to come out. 8)

Hi

I reformat the old station, install win98 and office on them.  Then ask any Dept that want them to take them out of my way.   Science use alot of them for intall standalone program / data logging software on, also technology.  It will depend on how many C2k machines you have.

Cheers
