New Active Boards
« on: July 05, 2012, 09:18:08 AM »
we are getting a couple of new activ boards but the new style ones now come with a boom with the projector attached as apposed to the ceiling mounted option.
has anyone got one of them? if so has anyone had any issues of kids swinging on them?
its working out cheaper as we will have to pay electricion around 300 per room to install a socket on the ceiling on top of the price to get ceiling mounted projectors installed.
cant help visulising kids trying to do chin ups on the thing

From what I have seen in the past the past there is not much ground clearance from the floor to the boom so tall students may find that an issue!

I take it the boom is mounted on the top of the activ board, we have one but it is in a room pupils are hardly in + there is hardly any distance from the board to the projector whatever way the lens is set up!!

Not the same as ours which is an interwrite dual with a sanyo projector.
