« on: May 01, 2012, 02:11:41 PM »
Hi all. Complete lagacy noob here.

Only had a week with the previous technician to get shown the ropes. Thank god i had that at least but all he showed me was the c2k side of things. To be honest im still not familar with that either and theyre revamping the whole god dam thing again, i have amazing timing lol :)

just wondering if you c2k gurus could give me the rundown on locating a students work from the back up? I can get into the students documents on DC02 no problem but im not sure where to find the back up of these to restore the data? If there even is one to find

Phone the helpdesk 08706011666 and ask them to restore the file. Handy if you can give the pupil intake year e.g. 2008, the pupils username and the directory structure to the file you wish to retrieve. e.g. ICT/Coursework/Notes.doc

BTW this is on the C2k system, if you have a separate legacy system ignore this post.

To get a students files backup you have to ring C2k and give the year group username and the name of the folder or file that you want also the date that you want the file restored from.

I usually get it restored to my area as if its restored to the student the idiots can delete it again without realising it. ::)
