Publisher "no printers installed"

having a bit of problems printing from publisher.. when pupils go to print it says there are no printers installed. but in the faxes and printers window there is. also ms word for example prints ok. its happening on a suite of machines that i rebuilt a couple of weeks ago so windows updates etc have been done.
 
any ideas? i think this has happened before and there was a quick fix but my brain is fully functioning today having been up most the night with a sick child

Hi had the same problem, word and all other programs would print but publisher give up this error.  When i researched it, it said that the printer name and the shared name of the printer on the server need to be the same for publisher to pick up the printer.  I tired this myself and all has been working great ever since.

must have a look tomorro... cheers gavin, i had that problem before with word etc but the service pack update fixed that. just having the problem with publisher now
