Backup Reports
« on: September 30, 2011, 09:39:21 AM »
Hi All,

Do any of you keep backup reports from your Mac systems? I used to use Super Duper, but that was my own personal copy.  I'm now using CCC but it only seems to submit reports via email.  Anyone know if I can set it up to use my C2K mail account.  I would need SMTP settings etc.

No doubt it will be easier to hack into the MI5 server in !***!!***!!.

Ok the c2k email is a microsoft exchange server.

I usually use myaccountname@c2kni.net as my email addy.

Server: mail1.learningni.net

Domain: SCHOOL

Use your username and password

Those are the standard settings for something like an ipad

If asked the DAV service requires a SSL connection.

That is about as much as I know on how to connect to your C2kmail from outside C2k.

One looks back with appreciation to the brilliant teachers, but with gratitude to those who touched our human feelings. The curriculum is so much necessary raw material, but warmth is the vital element for the growing plant and for the soul of the child.

What kind of copier is this?
Did you have to pay extra for the software?

Cheers for that Stephen, I'll give that a go on Monday.

I use the '@c2kni' short version as well.  The full address has around 30 characters!  Those microsoft heads just love to make things as intricate and convoluted as possible don't they.

Just a little update... No luck with this, any attempt to connect to a smtp server blocked.  Whenever I remember, which is only very occaisionaly, I have to open the CCC log file and copy the data relating to the most recent backup task and paste it into a document and print!
