Hi guys,

iv been asked by one of our technology teachers to install solidworks on the machines in our IT suites. The only thing is when i allocate it through the management console it doesnt install. I then tried to install the educational version thats on the server (2003-2004), ran the msi, the install completed but then when i went to run the program it says "failed to load dll".
what version of the software should i be using? there is the educational version and solidworks2009 on our DC01, but the 2009 version has no msi.

cheers

We are running Solidworks 2009 here install went ok from memory, I had to alter the .ini file on some workstations to update_pending to get it installed correctly and only done about 10 workstations at a time.  I think Bill had problems with it due a corrupt install on the server.

A C2k operative should have came out to your school to install the SolidWorks msi on your system. If they haven't (which might explain the lack of msi on your servers) you will need to phone them and get them out to do so.

The solidworks files are on MM01 I think, under MMRepository.
