Screen resolutions
« on: March 10, 2006, 03:27:18 PM »
We upgraded all our monitors to 17" multimedia when C2K was installed.  Northgate won't set the default resolution to 1024x768 as the default agreed with C2K was 800x600.  I know there's a VidRes package but it's fiddly for the kids (or anyone) to have to start and change this and when they do they then fiddle with the buttons on the monitor to get the new resolution to fit the full screen.  My main reasons for wanting it changed are

1. Bigger work area

2. Many websites nowadays are designed for this resolution

3. We got the 17" monitors for this purpose.

Anyone else having this problem.  I was hoping if enough of us contacted them they would change this.

I thought that once you'd allocated VidRes and changed the resolution that it stayed for all users - that is until some little toerag changed it for fun? 8)

I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realise that what you heard me say was not what I meant.

This happened here a few weeks ago - when I spoke to Northgate they discovered that a new upgrade hadn't been applied to our school.  It might be worth a call to them. 8)

I had that problem for ages, it's sorted now.  Get onto C2K, they should know how to fix this by now.
