Google Cast for Education
« on: August 21, 2018, 09:10:38 AM »
Hi.

There were Level 1 and 2 Google courses run a couple of weeks ago, and unfortunately 2 teachers attended.  They've come back with a puzzle of useless information and instead of introducing themselves and asking questions, they overheard parts of conversations.   ::)

So... Google Cast of Education.  One of them has said that someone is using GCfE to cast from devices to the teacher computer so that they can be projected at the front.

Is anyone using this?  Is there more to it than telling the device to cast?  Is a ChromeCast needed?

Cheers.

New to this forum, i was told that we couldn't use cast for education as it doesn't support the network that c2k wireless operates on

Hi.  And welcome to the forum.

I have nothing more about screen casting, but I thought Cr@pit@ had spent an age packaging Chrome and other Google suite options and that Cast was going to be available across the Managed Wireless using Managed workstations.
