Android phone restoring itself?
« on: August 31, 2012, 09:04:43 AM »
i have a galaxy s2 running Android 4.0.4 ( offically update through kies)
went to bed last night after farting about on the internet for a bit, turned the phone off.
turned it back on this morning and apart from my pictures and screen lock and apps the phone has restored itself to factory settings.
home screen plastered in widgets, lost all my contacts, all my apps that do work are running for the first time. all my installed apps are force closing??
thankfully i had a back up of the contacts , be it from a few months ago.
im going to properly restore it now and install all the apps from scratch again and hope that next time i retsart the phone it doesnt have amnesia again
has any one ever came across this on and android phone?

Do The old turn it off wait 10secs then turn it on again see if it helps.

Never experienced anything like this on my HTC One X (running CyanogenMod 10). Strange.
