One looks back with appreciation to the brilliant teachers, but with gratitude to those who touched our human feelings. The curriculum is so much necessary raw material, but warmth is the vital element for the growing plant and for the soul of the child.

I have to say I spend more time dealing with problems on our C2K system than with any of our other systems.  There is rarely a day goes by that I'm not phoning the helpdesk, or dealing with their engineers, or going through problems on the phone with Northgate.  C2K should be giving extra money to schools to pay their technicians for the added work.

Here's an example - problem with printer, phone C2K helpdesk, get a call back from Northgate who say 'have you tried x and y, restart it, do this, do that' - all this takes time.   I've probably ranted about this before but if we all turned round and said 'Sorry, managed service, I haven't time to be doing your work' they'd be in the sh*t.

I just believe the system was missold to us and the extent to which the system is actually managed was exagerrated.
