List of schools
« on: May 03, 2006, 02:08:28 PM »
Hello all,

Was just wondering if anyone knows how to go about getting a list of schools using c2k or more specifically schools making use of the HP intranet and internet services.

Thanks

I tried using WAB to get a list of schools, searching for the name containing INFO (as every school has an INFO@....), unfortunately too many results were returned.

Out of curiosity why do you need to know and have you tried phoning HP and asking them??

Ok for a list of schools if you go to the forum section All Others and look up the piece on finding e-mail addresses of people in other schools it tells you how to search the active directory.

Using this search for e-mail address starting INFO@a to get all the schools, or if the are too many the greater majority, of schools whose initial letter is A.

Highlight the first school listed then use the shift key and click on the last result to high light the whole list.

Copy and paste into an excel spread sheet.

Repeat for letters b .... z (Save the file at each letter)

Sort the pasted cells and delete the dross.

You now have a school list of sorts. you can use excel functions to seperate the school name out.

This should give you a reasonable list of the schools using C2k minus the ones who were outside the list length on the more popular letters.

As to who is using Hp intra and internet services if HP dont give it out I dont know where you'd get it.
