That sounds a bit desperate!!
One looks back with appreciation to the brilliant teachers, but with gratitude to those who touched our human feelings. The curriculum is so much necessary raw material, but warmth is the vital element for the growing plant and for the soul of the child.

Phone SKY, tell them you're leaving if they don't fix it.

Have you tried switching it off and on again?

Did you try installing a new Hard drive - box failures can be down to the drive.

Mine lay down about 6 weeks ago, not so much a power on problem, but was receiving no signal on line 1 input. Rang through, they quoted ?60 to have a call out to repair or swap the box. I said I couldnt afford it and to put me through to the cancellations. Once on cancellations they offered me a free call out if i stayed on - i agreed - they were out in 3 days and swapped it for a brand new pace.

Even if they let you cancel without the option for the free call out, you can resubscribe in the other halfs name and get a HD box now for ?49 - still cheaper than the ?60 call out and you get HD (I dont think you have to take the ?10 extra HD subscription, even though you have the HD box)

Did they get you to power down the LNB and then power it up again, Keiron??

More than once, even thought it was quite clear it wasnt the problem.

Swapping line 1 and line 2 cables provided the same result as before, so clearly a electrical fault on line 2.

Before they came and swapped out the box i copied all my saved programs onto an external hard drive using sky copy plus - didnt have a screwdriver to fit the screws on the box so had to piggy back the IDE cable from one external caddy and copy to another HD on another external drive through my lappy. Hanlin, but got everything off and back onto the new box safe and sound.

Always mean to upgrade the HD for more recording space, just never get around to it... to be honest it's only full now of in the night garden, balamory and numberjecks since our wee girl got to that age.

i luv sky +  i went months without it while i was living at the gfs house then got it back in last night at our new apartment-
is it just a straight swap for a bigger hdd? or is there some work involved? i recorded like 7 hours of btcc yesterday as well as all the stand ups from paramount comedy
