does anyone know how to copy from a camcorder onto dvd? ive never held a camcorder in my hand until today!!

Is it a digital camcorder? If so you can use Windows Movie Maker to capture the video of the camera, then save it as an avi file. I then use Nero Premium 7 to transfer it to DVD. I'm sure there are other ways but this is the one I use.
