Promethean projector bulb issues
« on: March 22, 2016, 06:14:37 PM »
Good evening,

During the previous holidays I cleaned and reset the Promethean projectors (different models) since then 2 bulbs have blown and the principal is hoping for a definitive answer as to why.
Like I said I cleaned with an air spray, used and cloth and reset the timers.
I checked and no common issues or reasons with Google.

Anyone any ideas?

Thanks in advance

what hours was on the projectors when you cleaned and reset? Like any machine parts can fail and bulbs are the worst. If the projector was shutdown by flick of the switch and not properly shutdown given time for the bulb to cool then thats a perfect reason (that happened allot with me the projector just got switched off at the wall). cleaning and reset can give you a few more hours might get lucky and get alot but once the bulb reaches its limit anything after that is a bonus. I think our bulbs at the time was 200hrs-300hrs before you had warning that they needed changed then after a clean and a reset might get another 30hrs-100hrs at very best case.
