F8 for Altris in PXE Boot
« on: February 03, 2015, 04:30:09 PM »
Hi all!
Today when I was starting up my PC, I noticed at network boot that it gives you time to choose whether to boot the PC normally or to the Deployment server image thingy. Was wondering has any of you used this or is it to do with C2K supposedly giving us the privilege to rebuild stations?!
Thanks
Andy

its only for capita engineer use, when we do get the option for network rebuilds it will be using the workstation management tool set to rebuild, then just rebooting the pc should kick off the build i think

If I were to go through the F8 build thing would it allow a full rebuild or just do nothing!
Thanks Andy

We had a teacher try that caused the PC to stop working had to log a call and Capita had to rebuild the PC  :-[
