Printers not showing up on Printer Preference Pane.
« on: January 23, 2012, 09:23:21 AM »
I have some macs and the printer list is empty even though they will still print to the printer.

I have tried resetting the printer system by right clicking on the empty pane and reset printing system.
No change.

I went to the console and I can see the message could not load internal printer module cache.

I have tried a disk permission check and repair but nothing is giving me my print queue.

Any ideas??

Try disabling your firewall, as it can affect the ipp protocol. You could also try Print Therapy for mac, just download the trial version. I know you used to be able to reset print caches and stuff in the older versions, but at the minute they dont have a lion compatible version so i cant test it.
