Print Queues and Credits

I am going to have to set up printer credits on the mac system here due to cutbacks.
 
As I see it I go to the server and add all the printers into the server.
 
I then run the server administrator and start the print service on the xserve.
 
In the queue list I select a printer, give it a logical sharing name say Room Number Department and possibly make
Turn on the IPP and LPR protocols and show name in bonjour then tick enforce quotas for this queue, save and move onto the next queue.
 
Finally I have to go round every mac and delete existing queues and add the printer queues seperately for those macs.
 
Is this correct or is there a faster way of doing the last part??
 
Far as I can see I will have to delete existing queues to get the user to go thru the xserve in order for the quota system to work.

Quick question - are you using the CUPS system for printing admin?

I am using the system on the xserve. In other words not sure what CUPS is, just using what is on the server.

CUPS is what I use to manage printers on my Linux server, but it was actually developed by Apple so I thought that it would be there as part of the Apple server applications.  Its a webpage driven app that lets you manage your networks printers.

Had a look at it but it does not do machines on network. I need to specify which printers to which machines (through the xserve) but apple seems to be more a collection of individual machines networked than a network of machines.
