Dell Latitude 3500 laptops
« on: August 25, 2020, 07:15:56 PM »
Hi.

Does anyone have any of these Dell Latitude 3500 laptops?  Bought catalogue June 2019.

Having trouble with them dropping off the WiFi in school, but solid at home.  Tried rebuilding, different AP, and a nosey in the BIOS but nothing jumped out like a Power Save or some silly setting.
Be happy to hear from someone with these who maybe had/has a similar problem, or if there are other things to try.

Cheers.

Enter the laptops Dell asset tag into Dell support webiste and grab the latest wifi driver and try on one machine.

When the dell vostros first came out they had the same issue and a driver update sorted it.

Thanks for the reply.

Tried it but no joy.  It worked for a couple of days and then went back to dropping out.  I got a random email the other day to say that a warranty replacement card was on its way.  I hadn't ordered one, so maybe that'll be an engineer visit and see what happens next.
