Raises an interesting question though. Why should we as technicians take responsibility for a machine that is the personal possession of a staff member ?
This is indeed an interesting question for debate, but this involves the Easylink, which is a C2k program isn't it?
Also, if there is a problem with the Easylink that a teacher cannot get onto their files that are stored in the C2k servers it could be impeeding on their work and therefore, would the problem not then come under our jurisdiction, as long as the problem isn't a fault with their own personal machine, it would only be something that we would have to fix or C2k would have to fix if it involved a problem with their profile or maybe a problem with the servers. Even then if it was a program fault or there wasn't a program present on their computers that would be needed for Easylink to function properly, we could then let them know whats needed and then let them go and take care of it for themselves, or if one would be feeling generous, get them to bring the offending machine in and update it for them. I did it once for one of the teachers and got a big tub of sweets for my bother!
