Who has your school got for hosting your school's websites?
The LAN's Watch
Data gathers, and now my watch begins.
It shall not end until my downsizing (or I get a better offer.)
I shall take no lunchbreaks, join no user groups, skip no patches.
I shall wear no neckties and win no bonuses.
I shall live and die at my console.
I am the patcher in the darkness. I am the admin of the firewalls. I am the shield that guards the realm of my systems.
I pledge my days and weekends to the LAN?s Watch, for this day and all the days to come.

We are using the HP option for intranet and internet but we are getting very fed up as the servers keep crashing and they havent got the Frontpage server extensions working yet, even though we told them they werent working at the end of Oct. My HoD is getting seriously vexed. In the last week the server has went down 3 or 4 times.

Have been with Webfusion now for 3/4 years and can't every remember the server being down (except for scheduled maintenance of which I was notified).

I take it this is the service provided in conjunction with C2k?

Information on the HP hosting can be found at http://www.c2kni.org.uk/schools/hosting.htm

At this minute the system seems to have stabilised, the servers have been running fine for a week, and HP have a tempory fix for the Frontpage extensions problem.

We run the Gold package and the intranet package which makes it £350 per annum, we do have intranet and internet sites and we also used subdomains in the intranet site for pupils frontpage work at A level.

I've just had C2k on the phone offering a free two week trial of their Hosting Service.  We were interested in trying out the Intranet service as it's been a pain for the U6 ICT students who have been putting web pages together this year.  Has anyone else taken up this offer yet?
