Looking for an Ipad app for digitally recording attendance at training etc. Is there anything decent out there?

Try Teacherkit, its designed for students attendance but it could be used for anyone.

or use a google form with a pre filled dropdown list of all people attending.

It will automatically timestamp the submission.
