Just found this out the other day, and its totally changed the way i use my computer in work. It saves me tonnes of time.
In windows you can type CMD into the windows explorer address bar to run the DOS prompt. If you browse to the folder you need access to and then type CMD it CD's you to that folder automatically when the DOS prompt launches.
How have i never heard of this before.

I prefer to use the RUN command from the magnifying glass at the bottom left in windows 10 as it remembers all the commands that I use especially for access to all the student folders and the Teaching and Non Teaching folders.

there are a couple wee better tricks that I use ;
(right click) in context menu - add an option to;
1. Open a CMD window here as Admin.
2. Take instant Ownership of selected object/file.
...for it to work on c2k machines though, you first have to install a registry unlock trick first.(see below)
i have attached everything below in one zip file.
instructions;
1. unzip the file into a folder. (DOWNLOAD LINK - https://drive.google.com/open?id=1p66bAIKrCz6eHRBb2MXVoaesrcQTBGRK (https://drive.google.com/open?id=1p66bAIKrCz6eHRBb2MXVoaesrcQTBGRK))
2. right-click the file named "UnHookExec(works).inf", then choose "INSTALL" (takes 1 second).
3. choose your preferred .reg file/s from the folders (both if you wish).
4. right-click the .reg files and choose "MERGE" (takes 1 second).
(uninstaller .reg files are also included should you want to remove them)
you now have the following option when you right-click either within a window or on a file.
Right-clicking in any window now gives you this option;
