Title: C2k email on Mac

Trying to set up email on Mac (Yosemite 10.10.3) but not being familiar with Apple OS I'm getting nowhere :(
Add an exchange account the OS selects the 'appropriate' server settings but they don't working. Can change the server settings but what to? Incoming and Outgoing???
Any assistance greatly appreciated

In the past I have only succeeded with one package and I cant even remember what it was but I dont think I ever succeeded with outlook on the mac.
