Title: iPad Apps
Post by: Stephen on May 01, 2013, 11:19:04 AM
I thought I would start a thread on good (and hopefully free) ipad apps.

One I can recommend is a free app called wifi photo transfer. https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/wifi-photo-transfer/id380326191?mt=8 (https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/wifi-photo-transfer/id380326191?mt=8)

Run the app on the ipad and iphone, go to your computer and enter in the web address to get access to your camera roll on the device. No leads required.

iSwifter - browser that works with flash , be it a bit laggy

GarageBand

Mindjet Maps

TeacherKit is ok, some of our teachers use it but they can be a bit slow to fix issues and there support isn't great. But i do here there working on a desktop program.

Not an ipad app but a good prog

AirServer - Lets your mac recieve airplay, so if the mac is wired to a projector you can get a full screen display of the ipad on the projector, well you can here as we have a wireless set up on the mac network with Airport Extremes.

Found a good wee app for getting data off iPads.

Showbie

Still requires registering which takes 2 seconds and signing in and out of the app but it's seems a lot more straight forward than personalising the likes of drop box and email apps
