Title: Profile Manager on Lion Server
Post by: Si on October 05, 2012, 01:33:24 PM
Anyone use profile manager to manage their Apple suites?

I was toying around with it yesterday and it seems like its perfect for administrating our new Apple suite.  You can set all sorts of configurations with it and assign them to different groups and it seems easy enough to work with.  Just wondering if anyone knows anything I should be wary of before deploying it..

Lion Server!! Only just managed to get my hands on Leopard Server the other day.  Not sure I trust the upgrade form Tiger, seriously thinking of doing a clean instal.  Probably be Halloween when I get round to that.

Couldn't get this to work at all - the clients wouldn't accept the enrollment settings for some reason.  The Apple discussion boards didn't help much either...give me a PC any day..

Welcome to the world of useless mac forums, my favourite was someone replying to a question with the answer google it, it was the only time I could find the question being asked using google!!
