Does anyone know how to set this so everyone who logs in is automatically connected to their home folder (on the mac system).
I have the user home defined in the workgroup manager (something like afp://xserve.legacy.banbridgeacademy.sch.uk/User_Homes/username
(actually it has home URL as afp://xserve.legacy.banbridgeacademy.sch.uk/User_Homes/ and
Full path username
So when I set login items to Add network home share point all I get at login is the share User_Homes opening, what am I doing wrong.
I have searched the net and all I can find is smart w**kers saying things like try google or read the manuals to others who has asked this question, bunch of tossers!

Wish I could help, but if it was a linux problem (and Apple's quaint OS is based on unix after all) I'll take a look at the permissions on the network share folders. Maybe you've set the permissions too tight?

Dont think so, the users and their home folders are setup in the workgroup manager, the main share is set in the server manager. When you create the users their home folder is set up as a sub folder of the main user share. I have not set one permission it has always been the programs designed to do this. The only problem is that I do not want the users to use the local home folder (i.e. c:\Documents and Settings\My Documents - in PC speak) I want them to use the network home documents (i.e. drive N: on the c2k network).
