Title: DVD decoders for media player
Post by: flashharry82 on May 30, 2006, 03:15:21 PM
Has anyone heard or worked out any solutions for playing dvds on c2k machine.

Media player doesn't work for some of them because it needs a dvd decoder which is not installed on the distributed version of media player.

Just that lots more teachers are coming to me and complaining about these dvds tht they've bought which won't play on the computers.

Allocate WinDVD 5.0 to their machines. It's installed on the system.

check under allocated software may be already allocated.... i think ya have to have some sort of privilleges to play dvds  some users here cant and some can .. think its delegate users can and vice versa not sure

also a lot of dvds have autorunning software which could stop them playing as some people dont have the sense to click start my computer , then click on the drive...
