Is there anyway of instantly alerting users of network issues on C2k? Currently I just put out a message on our Bromcom system and email everyone on Outlook and hope that they read it. Ideally what I would like is for a popup message to appear when they login or open their internet browser.
Any ideas or suggestions?

what we do is, every so often we change the INTRANET page.
open it up in Frontpage insert a text box with the message in it. Then when any user trys to connect to the internet the first page they say is the new message.
We use th Intranet for loads of things like showing ICT room timetables and Links to sites.

You can only access it with one of the authorised accounts.

Contact C2k and tell them to make it writeable

but in doing so will that allow students to edit it by clicking the edit button on internet explorer?? other wise i will do so next time log a call

When they click 'edit' the page will open in FrontPage, they can make changes but when they try to change it, it will default to their MyDocuments
