Site Downtime

I'm in the process of moving a few of my sites to a new hosting service. I'm hoping to get this site done over the weekend. So if you see the site is in maintenance mode you'll know why


Got stung with an excess bandwidth charge this month and the current host won't waive it, loyal customer and all so I'm jumping ship

As to charges, what is it costing you?

I wouldn't mind making a contribution to your costs and I'm sure there's a few others might help also.

Hi guys, many thanks for the offers of help. The monthly running of the site is minimal as I have a couple of other websites on the same server, so I don't mind this cost. However this site and one of my other forums did push the bandwidth this month over my allowance. So for the last two days of June I was charged nearly £100 for the excess bandwidth. I think this is extortionate and have told the hosting company this but they refuse to waive it. So I'm jumping ship - that's why the site was down for a while, I've moved server.
The members of my other forum also offered to help and to be honest I succumbed and reluctantly accepted it, so I will do the same here.
