Graph paper when opening microsoft word

iv had this problem before and cant remember how it was fixed.
 
once a user opens up microsoft word new document it opens it like graph paper
 
think it had something to do with someone changing the blank doc template of something..
its happening to 2 or 3 users on our legacy network. not sure if its a certain few machines or the users acounts
